How we guided a shift in company stakes and roles

We were approached by the Shareholders/Directors of a multi-million pound company who wanted to find a means of gradually phasing out their stake in the business whilst increasing their adult children’s responsibilities, stakes and roles all whilst ensuring that the business did not miss a step in its highly competitive trading environment. Working closely with the owners and their accountants, we devised a tax friendly solution involving a corporate restructure, share buy-back and creating new classes of shareholders. This was then fully implemented ensuring the next generation of the family had the opportunity of taking the business to even greater heights.
