Experience:

You must have experience of running a residential conveyancing case load previously, ideally of 100 + files, although candidate with experience of a lower-case volume will be considered. Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience of working within residential conveyancing. You will be hard working and have good time management skills with the ability to work under pressure. You must have a positive attitude as well a key understanding of the conveyancing process and the Conveyancing Protocol. You should have good IT skills with a knowledge of the Microsoft package and ideally you will have worked with a case management system previously.

Salary:

Dependent upon qualifications and experience

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30 am – 5.00 pm

The Department

This department is going through a period of increased growth and deals with the full range of residential conveyancing transactions.

The Role

This role will be to handle an existing caseload of freehold and leasehold transactions from instruction to completion. The department deals with the full range of residential conveyancing transactions. You will be responsible for all aspects of the file, to include checking the legal title, reporting on the mortgage and searches and handling enquiries. You will also be expected to provide support to the junior members of the department when necessary.

Alongside your standard role, you will act as an ambassador for the firm and present a professional image at all times. You will be expected to adhere to safe working practices and to the health and safety policy and departmental procedures. You will also be expected to promote, communicate and support the firm vision and values to all.

The Person

You must be able to work independently and as part of team under supervision, with a keen interest in learning and developing your skills. Ideally you will have at least 6 months experience within residential conveyancing, post completions etc. You will be:

  • Hard working.
  • Have good time-management skills.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Have a positive attitude as well as an interest in progression within the department.
  • Have good IT skills with a knowledge of the Microsoft package.
  • Have worked with a case management system previously.
  • Have an understanding of the need to deal with clients sensitively and of Data Protection Legislation.
