Did you invest in the Woodford Equity Income Fund (WEIF)? If you suffered financial loss as a result of WEIF winding-up you have the right to claim against the Link group.
What happened?
Link who were WEIF’s authorised corporate director were responsible for this fund. FCA rules state that fund are required to follow investment restritions designed to protect investors such as yourself. The rules include: Prudent spread of risk, the fund may invest in securities that will not compromise the ability to redeem shares & prevent funds such as WEIF from holding over 10% of it’s portfolio in less liquid investments as unlisted companies. These rules were not met and as a result the fund collapsed.
